Regular Meeting
MONDAY 1:30 PM October 12, 2020
Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice -Chairman
Laura Osiadacz; and Commissioner Cory Wright.
Others: Dan Carlson and Jessica Miller Community Development
Services; Pat Nicholson, Fire Marshal; Mark Cook and Candie
Leader, Public Works; Benjamin West and Ken Grannan, Airport.
At 1:31 pm CHAIRMAN WACHSMITH opened the Community Development
Services Study Session.
Annual Docket Update
DIRECTOR CARLSON presented that the 11 docket items have been
drafted and uploaded to our website. The Planning Commission
will be conducting the public hearing on Tuesday, October 13 by
WebEx. The Planning Commissioners will be making a
recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners on the
docket items. The County Commissioner hearing is tentatively
planned for December 2 at 6 p.m. It will be requested at the
next Agenda Session to set the public hearing. Discussion -
None.
GIS Predictive Mapping Update
Director Carlson stated we are currently working with our GIS
Department and the Planning Commission on coming up with some
predictive modeling to advance our planning efforts going
forward. This will be an agenda item on the November Planning
Commission meeting. Discussion - COMMISSIONER WRIGHT stated that
there is a recent Planning Commission member vacancy for
District 1 and he will be reaching out for a representative to
fill the vacancy.
