RATIFY THE CHAIR'S SIGNATURE ON FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
AGENCY ANNUAL COMMUNITY RATING SYSTEM REPORT DOCUMENTS
WHEREAS: Kittitas County is enrolled in the Federal Emergency Management Agency
(FEMA) Community Rating System (CRS); and
WIIEREAS: This Federal program lowers flood insurance premiums for all county residents
receiving federal floodplain insurance; and
WHEREAS: The County is required to report annual activities to FEMA consistent with
maintaining its CRS rating, and
WHEREAS: FEMA required the Chair's signature by October 15,2020 ahead of full Board of
County Commissioner action;
NOW' TIIEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the
best interest of the public, does hereby ratify the Chair's signature on2A20FEMA CRS reporting
documents.
