A RESOLUTION AUTHORTZING THE AMENDMENT OF AN
INTERAGENCY AGREEMENT WITH WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE FOR
CORONAVIRUS RETIEF FUND FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENTS

WHEREAS, Chapters 39.33 and 39.34 RCW, the lnterlocal Cooperation Act, authorizes public
agencies to enter into agreements for mutually advantageous joint or cooperative
action; and
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
Kittitas county and washington state Department of commerce are public
agencies within the meaning of chapters 39.33 and 39.34 RCW; and
Kittitas County and Washington State Department of Commerce has entered into
the agreement to fund the Costs incurred due to the public health emergency with
respect to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (covlD-l9) during the period of March
L, 2020 thru October 31, 2020, and
WHEREAS, The original agreement is amended on Octob er 6,2O2O, Agreement Number 20-
654LC-I9 Amendment Number A, extending the date from October 31-, 2020 to
November 30,2020 and increasing the grant amount by 5909,404.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE lT RESOLVED, the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners
authorizes the execution of the amended lnteragency Agreement with Washington State
Department of Commerce, attached hereto, and incorporated herein by this reference.
