ACTION REQUESTED:
Approve Resolution authorizing approval of contract
number 21-4610C-109 between the Washington State
Department of Commerce, Community Services and
Housing Division for the Housing Assistance Unit – Shelter
Grant Program for the period August 1, 2020 through June
30, 2023.
BACKGROUND:
Kittitas County has been awarded the Community Services
and Housing Division Housing Assistance Union – Shelter
Program Grant in the amount of $246,846. The grant
purpose is to fund equitable and creative approaches to
develop or expand shelter programs and bring people inside
with the goal of exiting participants to permanent and
positive outcomes quickly.
The Department of Commerce has provided Contract
Number 21-4610C-109 for the Board of County
Commissioners consideration with the start date of August
1, 2020 and an end date of June 30, 2020. The grant will be
operated out of the Homelessness fund. There are not any
County administration costs provided in this grant. County
Staff will be recording their time to general Homelessness
funds.
HopeSource will be a sub-recipient for this grant and will
receive the entire amount $246,846. The program

HANDLING: Judy Pless will submit 2 originals to Department of
Commerce for signature.
Department of Commerce to return 1 fully executed original.
