KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: October 20, 2020 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Advertise a Request for Statement of Qualifications <br />Supporting Design, and Environmental Permitting for Preventative <br />Maintenance on North Thorp Highway -Yakima River Bridge CRP <br />302-20 <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Public Works was informed December 30, 2019 that <br />this project was selected to receive funding through the Local Bridge <br />Program, administered through Washington State Department of <br />Transportation. The work is expected to include painting, and <br />repairing damaged steel, concrete piers, and bridge connection joints. <br />The Preliminary Engineering phase of the project was authorized to <br />proceed August 20, 2020 in the amount of $387,531.00 by WSDOT <br />Local Programs The total project costs are currently estimated at <br />$2,486,000.00 and the project will be 100 percent funded under the <br />Federal Program with no local match requirements up to this amount. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Authorize Issuing a Request for Statement of Qualifications <br />Supporting Design, and Environmental Permitting for Preventative <br />Maintenance on North Thorp Highway -Yakima River Bridge CRP <br />302-20. <br />HANDLING: Return One original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Statement of Qualifications, CRP 302-20 design services <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
