AGENDA DATE: October 20, 2020
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to set a Public Hearing for November 3,
2020 at 2:00 pm to consider updating Kittitas
County Code Chapter 10.12.010 Stops and Yields
designated for the intersection of Prater Road and
Sorenson Road.
BACKGROUND: The intersection of Prater Road and Sorenson Road
currently has a Yield sign in place. A longtime
resident of the area requested that the current
signage be replaced with a Stop sign due to driver
inattention and safety concerns.
INTERACTION:
Additionally, Public Works has internally
discussed with the Traffic Foreman and
Maintenance Manager confirming this change is
the appropriate intersection control signing for the
intersection of Prater Road and Sorenson Road.

RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing for November 3, 2020 at 2:00
pm to consider updating Kittitas County Code
Chapter 10.12.010 Stops and Yields designated for
the intersection of Prater Road and Sorenson Road.
HANDLING: Return one Notice of Public Hearing to Public
Works
