BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />NO. 2020-______ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO EXTEND FUNDING AWARD FOR GRANTS PURSUANT TO LAW AND JUSTICE COUNCIL RECOMMENDATIONS ON SPENDING OF 1/10TH OF 1% SALES TAX RESERVES <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Law and Justice Council met at their regularly scheduled meeting on August 19, 2020, and voted unanimously to approve the below described funding recommendations; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: These expenditures shall be made from the 1/10th of 1% sales tax reserve account established by the Board of County Commissioners for spending on special projects to foster <br />cooperation, sharing of resources and enhancement of criminal justice projects within Kittitas County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The COVID-19 Pandemic has limited the ability to spend these funds during the 2019 grant period ending October 31, 2020, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: As a result, this funding is to be made available through October 31, 2021 upon approval of this resolution; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The grants described below are recommended for approval. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners hereby adopts the following funding recommendations as made by the Kittitas County Law and Justice Council <br />and these expenditures shall be made from the 1/10th of 1% sales tax reserve account. <br /> <br />20-6 <br />HOPESOURCE <br />Scholarships for after school activities $ 2,500.00 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ADOPTED this ________day of _________2020 <br /> <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> ___________________________ <br /> Chairman <br /> <br /> ___________________________ <br /> Vice-Chairman <br /> <br /> ___________________________ <br /> Commissioner <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />_______________________ <br /> <br />☐ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />☐ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br /> <br />
