KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />October 6, 2020 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Approve Resolution authorizing approval of Contract <br />Number 20-62210-008 between the Washington State <br />Department of Commerce and Kittitas County for the Community <br />Development Block Grant Program - Public Services Funding for the <br />period July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br /> Kittitas County has been awarded the Community <br />Development Block Grant Public Service Funds in the <br />amount of $84,239. The Board of County Commissioners <br />previously held a Public Hearing and approved the Grant <br />application materials. HopeSource will be providing public <br />services outlined in the contract materials to low-and <br />moderate-income persons residing in Kittitas County for the <br />period beginning July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021. <br /> <br />The Department of Commerce has provided Contract <br />Number 20-62210-008 for the Board of County <br />Commissioners consideration. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Prosecutor's office and Judy Pless, Budget & Finance <br />Manager reviewed and approved the proposed Contract with <br />the Department of Commerce. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve Resolution approving Contract Number 20- <br />62210-008 between the Washington State Department of <br />Commerce and Kittitas County for Community <br />Development Block Grant - Public Service funds. <br /> <br />HANDLING: BOCC Staff to submit 2 originals to Department of <br />Commerce for signature. <br />Department of Commerce to return 1 fully executed original <br />and then BOCC Staff to provide a copy to HopeSource and <br />the Auditor's office. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: CDBG Contract Number 20-62210-008. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager
