Action Requested:
Request the Board approve the Resolution Authorizing the Amendment of an Interagency Agreement with
Washington State Department of Commerce for Coronavirus Relief Fund for Local Governments (CARES funds)
Background:
On May 27, 2020 the Board of County Commissioners signed the agreement #20-6541C-019 with Washington
State Department of Commerce for Coronavirus Relief for Local Governments (CARES) in the amount of
$2,500,850, with a contract period March 1, 2020 through October 31, 2020. Washington State Department of
Commerce announced the Governor was releasing additional CARES funding and Kittitas County is receiving an
additional $909,400 and extending the end date to November 30, 2020. The guidelines on spending the CARES
funding has not changed.
Recommendation
Recommend the Board approve Resolution Authorizing the Amendment of an Interagency Agreement with Washington
State Department of Commerce for Coronavirus Relief Fund for Local Governments.
