COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES

Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice-Chairman Laura
Osiadacz; Cory Wright, Commissioner. (via WebEx)

of the Board I; Lisa Young, HR Director; Tristen Lamb, Public Health
Administrator; Stephanie Hartung, Deputy Prosecutor.
REGULAR MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS
At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened the Office Administration
meeting.
CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendars.
PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners approved the County Vouchers and
PAF’s.
CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS
The Correspondence Log for the week ending September 25, 2020 was
presented.
REQUEST PUBLIC RELATIONS ADMIN POSTING COMMISSIONERS
Lisa Young, HR Director presented the Board with advertising options
in addition to the County Website. The Board determined they would
like to have have the job posting in the Public Relations Society of
America for 30 days at $359.00 dollars and an additional posting in
the AWC for 30 days at $200.00 dollars.
REQUEST PSA – KITTITAS CO. & DH PUBLIC HEALTH
Tristen Lamb, Public Health Administrator presented the Board with a
Professional Services Agreement for consideration. She stated that
it’s a CARES eligible expense and would be a Spread Kindness, Not
COVID-19 campaign and the 12-month retainer would be to support
Public Health and the Economic Recovery Group and Kittitas County
with incident response messaging and distribution, such as COVID-19

vaccination promotion and community outreach during the holiday
season, noting that cost is $185,196.00. Commissioner Wright stated
he would support it however, he needed to see more details. Chairman
Wachsmith moved to approve the Professional Services Agreement
between Kittitas County and D.H., for community and business –
centered messaging and communication services pertaining to
COVID-19, as presented. Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Motion
carried 2-0 (Commissioner Wright abstained).
LETTER DAILY RECORD EDITOR COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Osiadacz reviewed a letter to the Daily Record Editor
she drafted for the Board’s consideration and discussion.
Commissioner Osiadacz moved to approve Board signature on a letter
to the Editor of the Daily Record. Chairman Wachsmith seconded.
Commissioner Wright stated that he understands the messaging but
would not be signing the letter with the Board. Motion carried 2-1
(Commissioner Wright opposed).
DISCUSSION FACEBOOK WEEKLY POSTS COMMISSIONERS
The Board determined they had no posts for Facebook this week.
