KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SOLID WASTE AND MAINTENANCE MINUTES <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 108 - ELLENSBURG <br />Regular Meeting <br />TUESDAY 2:00 PM I September 8, 2020 <br />Board members present via Webex: Brett Wachsmith, Chairman, Laura Osiadacz, Vice - <br />Chairman and Commissioner Cory Wright. <br />Others: Patti Johnson and Lisa Lawrence <br />Meeting called to order at 2:01 p.m. <br />Solid Waste Updates: Patti informed the Board that she is working with the City on siting a <br />public essential facility. Patti informed the Board that she will be submitting a grant application <br />with FEMA for 75% of the Transfer Station funding. <br />Ratify Patti Johnsons signature on Grant Amendment with the Department of Ecology: <br />Patti informed the Board that there was no dollar amount that it's to move funds from the <br />Organics task to overspent hazardous materials task. Commissioner Wachsmith moved to <br />approve, Commissioner Osiadacz moved to second. Motion passed 3-0. <br />Maintenance Updates: Patti informed the Board that she is working on the negative air project <br />with Mckinstry. Patti informed the Board that she is working on webex issues with IT trying to <br />get the conference rooms ready all requiring a lot of electrical. <br />Request Board approval and signature on J & M Electric Professional Services Agreement: <br />Patti informed the Board the PSA in the amount of $27,350 included all locations for camara's <br />and TV's and the Armory, CDS, Lower and Upper District Court and the conference rooms and <br />the funding covered in Cares and the Courts Funding. Commissioner Wachsmith moved to <br />approve, Commissioner Osiadacz moved to second. Motion passed 3-0. <br />Project Updates: Patti informed the Board that new HVAC systems for the Fairgrounds was <br />approved in the previous meeting and that she will get started on the project. <br />Discussion was held on the status of the Swine barn that funding is available for tear down and <br />paving but not building. Staff will go out to bid for the project. <br />Discuss Shady Brook Bid Opening: Discussion was held on the bids received for the removal <br />of the County owned buildings. <br />OTHER BUSINESS: Patti informed the Board that she is preparing the SEPA for application <br />for coverage for Biosolids and that CDS will administer the SEPA process. <br />2020-09-08 MINUTES <br />
