ACTION REQUESTED:
Request to Approve a service agreement between the Kittitas County Coroner’s Office and Steward &
Williams Funeral Home and Crematory for rotational morgue services.
BACKGROUND:
On August 1st, 2020 two funeral homes began operating in Kittitas County, Johnston & Williams and
Brookside. Prior to August 1st only one funeral home was available to be used by the Kittitas County
Coroner’s Office for morgue services. Today the Kittitas County Coroner’s office wishes to use both funeral
homes on a rotational basis and has created a service agreement which establishes a clear scope of work, a
compensation schedule, and requires proof of insurance from each funeral home.
INTERACTION:
The Prosecutors office has reviewed. The Prosecutor did not suggest any revisions to the document.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve and sign Professional Services Agreement.
