Regular Meeting
MONDAY 1:30 PM July 27, 2020
Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith, Vice -Chairman
Cory Wright, and Laura Osiadacz
Others: Lindsey Ozbolt (CDS)and Dan Carlson (CDS)
Meeting was called to order at 1:30 pm
Update on Remote Land Use Hearings
Director Carlson has recently taken trainings and has researched the
benefits of virtual Land Use Hearings and wanted to update the Board
of County Commissioners on his findings. He suggested that we update
the notice process and then put in some fall back measures in place to
ensure all bases are covered. Director Carlson plans to host a mock
hearing before conducting an actual Land Use Hearing sometime in
September.
Discussion Regarding Pre -application Conferences
During the mandatory shutdown, there was a temporary waiver put in
place to waive pre -application conference meetings. Director Carlson
requested direction on how the Board would like to proceed moving
forward with pre -application conferences. The Board of County
Commissioners directed Director Carlson to draft up some code language
and criteria and report back at an upcoming CDS Study Session.
Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Update
Long Range Planner, Bridget Pechtel will be sending out sections of
the Capital Improvement Program to Department Heads and Elected
Officials that are responsible to facilities to update before the end
of the year. The Board of County Commissioners will send out email to
Department Heads and Elected Officials to urge them to complete the
CIP paperwork in a timely fashion.
