2020-08-12 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />WEBEX <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />WEDNESDAY 9:00 A.M. AUGUST 12, 2020 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice-Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz; and Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Julie <br />Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Taylor Crouch, Deputy Clerk of the <br />Board I; Kady Porterfield, KVEC Director and Judy Pless, Budget & <br />Finance Director. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING BUDGET RETREAT PLANNING COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting to discuss <br />the Budget Retreat to be held on August 19, 2020. <br /> <br />The Board discussed who would be presenting items on the Management <br />Team Budget Retreat Agenda which would be held virtually this year. <br />The Agenda would have opening remarks, State Representative <br />presentations & Chamber presentation, Financial Report, Human <br />Resources presentation and then Individual Department presentations <br />ending with open discussion and then closing. The Board discussed <br />their priorities to include in a letter that the Board would send <br />out to the Management Team. Commissioner Wright would like to see <br />budget stabilization, employee retention, transparency/PIO, and no <br />new capital project requests. Chairman Wachsmith would like to <br />discuss and review of property taxes, Technology, Transparency, PIO <br />Internal External Communicator.
