AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: August 18, 2020
ACTION REQUESTED: Approve a Resolution to convey Approximately 575 feet of
South Cle Elum Way to the Town of South Cle Elum
BACKGROUND: In early July 2020 the Town of South Cle Elum requested
transfer of approximately 575 feet of South Cle Elum Way
from the County to the Town. Public Works briefed the
Board as was directed to prepare enabling legislation. Staff
has prepared a resolution for Board action. Once the Board
completes the requested action, staff will contact Town
staff and assist in preparing acceptance legislation. This
process is recommended by the County Road
Administration Board consistent with Revised Code of
Washington at 39.33.010.
INTERACTION: Public Works
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution to authorize the transfer of
approximately 575 feet of South Cle Elum Way to the
Town of South Cle Elum.
HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works

RESOLUTION NO. 2020 -
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF APPROXIMATELY 575 FEET OF SOUTH CLE
ELUM WAY TO THE TOWN OF SOUTH CLE ELUM
WHEREAS: The Town of South Cie Elum has requested a transfer of ownership of
approximately 575 feet of South Cie Elum Way along with all existing
improvements; and
WHEREAS: The Revised Code of Washington contemplates road ownership transfers at
39.33.010; and
WHEREAS: The requested transfer will be complete once the Town of South Cie Elum
formally accepts the requested transfer of South Cie Elum Way;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the
best interest of the public, does hereby transfer approximately 575 feet of South Cle Elum Way
to the Town of South Cie Elum. Said transfer is complete upon formal acceptance on the part of
the Town of South Cie Elum.
