Request to set a Public Hearing to consider the Proposed
Establishment of an Additional 4.1 miles of Parke Creek
Road
BACKGROUND: The Public Lands Committee desires establishing an
additional 4.1 miles (+/-) of unopened County Right of
Way beyond the current end of county road at Parke Creek
Road. County Surveyor Turnbull's research has been
affirmed by the Prosecuting Attorney's Office as being
"Public Highway" (Revised Code of Washington
36.75.080). A public hearing is required to receive the
Engineer's report from the County Engineer regarding the
proposed action. The current gathering restriction of ten
(10) imposed by the Governor will likely force some mix of
in person testimony with virtual testimony.
INTERACTION: Public Works, Prosecuting Attorney's Office
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Notice of Public Hearing for August 18th,
2020 at 2:00 PM local time in the Board's Auditorium.
HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works

205 West 5th Avenue, Room 109, Kittitas County Courthouse, Ellensburg, WA to consider the proposed establishment of an
additional 4.1 miles of Parke Creek Road.
