COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON

REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:00 A.M. JULY 13, 2020
Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith Vice-Chairman Laura
Osiadacz & Commissioner Cory Wright (via WebEx).
Others Via WebEx: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II;
Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Taylor Crouch, Deputy Clerk of
the Board I; Tristen Lamb, Public Health Administrator.
REGULAR MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS
At 9:00 a.m. Vice-Chairman Osiadacz opened the Office Administration
meeting.
CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendars.
PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners approved the County Vouchers and
PAF’s.
CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS
The Correspondence Log for the week ending July 10, 2020 was
presented.
DISCUSSION 2021 BUDGET PRIORITIES COMMISSIONERS
Chairman Wachsmith was tasked with working with Staff and Judy
Pless, Budget and Finance Manager to get the Annual Budget Retreat
on the schedule for August and to set up a meeting for possibly
later this week to discuss the BoCC priorities.
RESOLUTION 2020-133 ILA SHELTER FUNDING COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve Resolution No. 2020-133, A
Resolution Authorizing Execution of an Interlocal Agreement with the
City of Ellensburg Related to Shelter Funding. Commissioner Wright
seconded. Motion carried 3-0. * Note there was no Interlocal
Agreement at the time of signing.
DISCUSSION TNC FACT SHEET COMMISSIONERS

Commissioner Wachsmith moved to authorize Kittitas County to be
listed as partner on the TNC Cle Elum Ridge Fact Sheet.
Commissioner Wright seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
PLANNING COVID-19 COMMISSIONERS
The Board discussed impacts to County Staff with younger kids in
school moving into Fall. They determined they would discuss options
with HR Director Young during her upcoming HR Study Session. There
was brief discussion on the interpretation of the latest update on
the OPMA Prohibition. Tristen Lamb, Public Health Administrator gave
the Board an update on the Press Release that will be coming out to
notify the public of the additional cases at long term care
facilities.
DISCUSSION FACEBOOK WEEKLY POSTS COMMISSIONERS
The Board determined for the week of July 13, 2020 that they would
share on their Facebook page any Press Releases from Public Health
and other information relating to COVID-19 as well as the TNC Fact
Sheet that the Board just agreed to sign on as supporters.
OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES
There were no general updates or other business discussed.
