COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONERS AUDITORIUM REGULAR MEETING MONDAY 9:00 A.M. JULY 6, 2020
Board members present: Vice-Chairman Laura Osiadacz & Commissioner
Cory Wright (via WebEx). Absent: Chairman Brett Wachsmith.
Others Via WebEx: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Taylor Crouch,
Deputy Clerk of the Board I; Patti Johnson, Solid Waste
Director/Interim Maintenance Director/Project Manager; Tristen Lamb,
Public Health Administrator; Lisa Young, Human Resource Director;
and 3 members of the public.
REGULAR MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS
At 9:00 a.m. Vice-Chairman Osiadacz opened the Office Administration
meeting.
CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendars.
PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners approved the County Vouchers and
PAF’s.
CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS
The Correspondence Log for the week ending July 3, 2020 was
presented.
QUOTE NEGATIVE AIR AT KCSO – JAIL MAINTENANCE
Patti Johnson, Solid Waste Director/Interim Maintenance
Director/Project Manager, presented a quote from McKinstry for the
mechanical design/build proposal for the Booking and Cell Negative
Pressure Zones. Commissioner Wright moved to approve the quote from
McKinstry for the Booking and Cell Negative Pressure Zones, as
presented. Vice-Chairman Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 2-0.
REIMBURSEMENT ENGINEER POSITION PUBLIC WORKS
Commissioner Wright moved to approve travel reimbursement to Joshua
Fredrickson, in the amount of $1,157.27 for interviewing for the
position of County Engineer; to offer an annual salary of
$125,000.00; and authorize up to $5,000.00 in relocation expenses as

part of the offer package. Vice-Chairman Osiadacz seconded. Motion
carried 2-0.
EMERGENCY HIRE COVID-19 CASE & CONTACT PUBLIC HEALTH
Tristen Lamb, Public Health Administrator, provided the Board with
an update on an increase in COVID-19 cases in Kittitas County, and
requested emergency hires.
Commissioner Wright moved to authorize up to three (3) emergency
hires, as temporary positions in the Public Health Department for 19
hours a week to assist with case and contact tracing for COVID-19.
Vice-Chairman Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 2-0.
PLANNING COVID-19 COMMISSIONERS
There were no updates provided relating to COVID-19.
DISCUSSION FACEBOOK WEEKLY POSTS COMMISSIONERS
The Board determined for the week of July 6, 2020 that they would
share on their Facebook page any Press Releases from Public Health
and other information relating to COVID-19.
OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES
There were no general updates or other business discussed.
