RESoLUIoN rvo. 9PJ 0 - t b l <br />BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF KITTITAS COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON, in the matter <br />of initiating a county road project designated as: <br />CRP NO: 302-20 JOB NO: RC2091-HP <br />lT lS HEREBY RESOLVEo N Thorp Hwy-Yakima River Bridge <br />The North Thorp Highway Bridge spanning the Yakima River needs preventative Maintenance to extend the life of the <br />fracture critical structure. The existing paint system has failed throughout much of the truss's bottom chord, floor beams, <br />stringers and bearings. The joint repairs will include strip seals at the ends of the truss and silicon sealant at the floor <br />beams. The truss portal members damaged by traffic impacts will be repaired by heat straightening or replacing members. <br />The concrete spalls at the piers will be repaired. Bridge will be painted. <br />ARTERIAL trAccEss X <br />This project is hereby declared to be a public necessity and the Director of Public Works acting as the County Engineer is hereby <br />ordered and authorized to report and proceed thereon as by law provided.
