AGENDA DATE: July 7, 2020
ACTION REQUESTED: Set a Public Hearing to consider a Sales & Use Tax for Chemical
Dependency or Mental Health Treatment Services or
Therapeutic Court as provided by RCW 82.14.460.
BACKGROUND: On February 5, 2020 & April 28, 2020 the Kittitas County Board
of Commissioners met in a Special Meeting receive a
Presentation regarding the importance of the County
implementing a Mental Health and Behavioral Health Tax.
INTERACTION: On June 29, 2020 Staff was directed to prepare a Legal notice for
consideration on the July 7, 2020 Agenda.
RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing to consider a Sales & Use Tax for Chemical
Dependency or Mental Health Treatment Services of
Therapeutic Court as provide by RCW 82.14.460., to be held on
July 23, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Auditorium and
to authorize the Clerk to publish said notice.
