Action Requested:
Request the Board approve the agreement #D20-189 with Washington State Military
Department Public Assistance Grant Agreement for the COVID-19 Presidential Disaster
Background:
Presidential Disaster Declaration # FEMA-4481-DR-WA COVID-19. This agreement is to
provide funds to the COUNTY for the emergency protective measures taken in response to
the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak as approved by FEMA in project worksheets describing
eligible scopes of work and associated funding. The DEPARTMENT is the Recipient and
Pass-through Entity of the Presidential Disaster Declaration # FEMA-4481-DR-WA COVID-
19, and FEMA State Agreement, which are incorporated by reference, and makes a
subaward of Federal award funds to the COUNTY pursuant to this Agreement. The COUNTY
is accountable to the DEPARTMENT for use of Federal award funds provided under this
Agreement and the associated matching funds.
The Board of County Commissioners approved the County Emergency Disaster per Resolution
2020-042 on March 6, 2020.
Recommendation
Recommend the Board approve the Chairman’s signature on the agreement #D20-189 with
Washington State Military Department Public Assistance Grant Agreement for the COVID-19
Presidential Disaster
