Kittitas County <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br /> <br />Agenda Date: <br />June 16, 2020 <br /> <br />Action Requested: <br />Request the Board approve the agreement #D20-189 with Washington State Military <br />Department Public Assistance Grant Agreement for the COVID-19 Presidential Disaster <br /> <br /> <br />Background: <br />Presidential Disaster Declaration # FEMA-4481-DR-WA COVID-19. This agreement is to <br />provide funds to the COUNTY for the emergency protective measures taken in response to <br />the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak as approved by FEMA in project worksheets describing <br />eligible scopes of work and associated funding. The DEPARTMENT is the Recipient and <br />Pass-through Entity of the Presidential Disaster Declaration # FEMA-4481-DR-WA COVID- <br />19, and FEMA State Agreement, which are incorporated by reference, and makes a <br />subaward of Federal award funds to the COUNTY pursuant to this Agreement. The COUNTY <br />is accountable to the DEPARTMENT for use of Federal award funds provided under this <br />Agreement and the associated matching funds. <br /> <br />The Board of County Commissioners approved the County Emergency Disaster per Resolution <br />2020-042 on March 6, 2020. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />Recommend the Board approve the Chairman’s signature on the agreement #D20-189 with <br />Washington State Military Department Public Assistance Grant Agreement for the COVID-19 <br />Presidential Disaster <br /> <br />Handling <br />Signed documents return to Judy. <br /> <br />Lead Staff <br />Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager
