Kittitas County <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Agenda Date: June 16, 2020 <br /> <br />Action Requested: Request the Board approve a Resolution Establishing Fund 102 – <br />Elections Security Grant <br /> <br />Background: The U.S. Elections Assistance Commission through the Washington State <br />Secretary State has awarded Kittitas County $154,405.29 for Election <br />Security. The County Auditor approved the grant agreement on April 29, 2020 <br />and the Board of County Commissioners approve the agreement on June 2, <br />2020. Part of the agreement requires the funds be invested as the funds were <br />submitted in advance. <br /> <br /> In order to track the expenditures and the investment requirements of <br />these monies, we determined it was best to account for these funds in <br />its own fund.
