06/03/2020 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONERS AUDITORIUM/WEBEX SPECIAL MEETING WEDNESDAY 10:00 A.M. JUNE 3, 2020 <br /> <br />Board members present: Vice-Chairman Laura Osiadacz and Commissioner <br />Cory Wright (via WebEx). Excused: Chairman Brett Wachsmith. <br /> <br />Others: Taylor Crouch, Deputy Clerk of the Board I; Julie Kjorsvik, <br />Clerk of the Board (via Webex); Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the <br />Board II (via Webex); and Amy Cziske, Treasurer (via Webex). <br /> SPECIAL MEETING PLANNING UPDATE/COVID-19 COMMISSIONERS <br />At 10:00 a.m. Vice-Chair Osiadacz opened a Special Meeting for <br />the Board to provide planning updates relating to COVID-19. <br /> SPECIAL MEETING PLANNING UPDATE/COVID-19 COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright updated the Board on a meeting he attended at <br />the Chamber on Monday. He said there is a Bill being discussed that <br />may help the County get more funds for coronavirus relief. <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz updated the Board on recovery funds. Funds <br />have been dispersed throughout the County, both to businesses and <br />individuals. The current focus is dispersing funds equitably and <br />fundraising for more funds. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright updated the Board on the most recent OPMA <br />updates from the Governor’s Office. He asked to post a clarifying <br />message on social media to clarify what is being communicated from <br />Olympia to the people of Kittitas County. <br /> <br />Amy Cziske, Treasurer, asked the Board if there was an update on the <br />plan to reopen the Courthouse when we reach Phase 3. Commissioner <br />Osiadacz stated that Patti Johnson, Solid Waste Director/Interim <br />Maintenance Director/Project Manager was the lead Staff on this <br />plan.
