COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONERS AUDITORIUM/WEBEX SPECIAL MEETING WEDNESDAY 10:00 A.M. JUNE 3, 2020
Board members present: Vice-Chairman Laura Osiadacz and Commissioner
Cory Wright (via WebEx). Excused: Chairman Brett Wachsmith.
Others: Taylor Crouch, Deputy Clerk of the Board I; Julie Kjorsvik,
Clerk of the Board (via Webex); Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the
Board II (via Webex); and Amy Cziske, Treasurer (via Webex).
SPECIAL MEETING PLANNING UPDATE/COVID-19 COMMISSIONERS
At 10:00 a.m. Vice-Chair Osiadacz opened a Special Meeting for
the Board to provide planning updates relating to COVID-19.
SPECIAL MEETING PLANNING UPDATE/COVID-19 COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Wright updated the Board on a meeting he attended at
the Chamber on Monday. He said there is a Bill being discussed that
may help the County get more funds for coronavirus relief.
Commissioner Osiadacz updated the Board on recovery funds. Funds
have been dispersed throughout the County, both to businesses and
individuals. The current focus is dispersing funds equitably and
fundraising for more funds.
Commissioner Wright updated the Board on the most recent OPMA
updates from the Governor’s Office. He asked to post a clarifying
message on social media to clarify what is being communicated from
Olympia to the people of Kittitas County.
Amy Cziske, Treasurer, asked the Board if there was an update on the
plan to reopen the Courthouse when we reach Phase 3. Commissioner
Osiadacz stated that Patti Johnson, Solid Waste Director/Interim
Maintenance Director/Project Manager was the lead Staff on this
plan. Commissioner Osiadacz will work with Ms. Johnson on
communicating that plan to DH/EO’s.
