05/29/2020 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONERS AUDITORIUM/WEBEX SPECIAL MEETING FRIDAY 10:00 A.M. MAY 29, 2020 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith, Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz (via WebEx) and Commissioner Cory Wright (via WebEx). <br /> <br />Others: Taylor Crouch, Deputy Clerk of the Board I; Julie Kjorsvik, <br />Clerk of the Board (via Webex); Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the <br />Board II (via WebEx); Judy Pless, Budget and Finance Manager (via <br />Webex); Jim Goeben, IT Director (via WebEx), and 4 members of the <br />public (via WebEx). <br /> SPECIAL MEETING PLANNING UPDATE/COVID-19 COMMISSIONERS <br />At 10:00 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting for the <br />Board to provide planning updates relating to COVID-19. <br /> DISCUSSION COVID-19 CARES FUNDING COMMISSIONERS <br />Judy Pless, Budget and Finance Manager overviewed the submitted <br />funding requests from departments for CARES funding with the Board. <br />Ms. Pless, and Jim Geoben, IT Director answered Board questions. The <br />Board asked to review the Sheriff’s Office line items in another <br />meeting with Clay Myers, Sheriff, and his Staff. Ms. Pless was <br />directed to move forward with all other CARES item requests. RESO. NO.2020-111 ECONOMIC RECOVERY COMMITTEE COMMISSIONERS <br />Chairman Wachsmith reviewed the Resolution with the Board. This <br />Resolution has gone through the Prosecutor’s Office for approval <br />already. Commissioner Wright stated he would like to hold this until <br />Monday for further review. Commissioner Osiadacz stated she would <br />like to move forward with approving the Resolution today. <br />Commissioner Wright stated he wanted to check with stakeholders <br />still, and if the Resolution were voted on at this meeting, he would <br />abstain. Chairman Wachsmith stated his support for approving the <br />Resolution as the work to get key stakeholders involved had been <br />done. Chairman Wachsmith moved to approve Resolution No. 2020-111, A <br />Resolution of the Formation of the Kittitas County Economic Recovery <br />Committee. Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 2-0. <br />Commissioner Wright abstained from the vote. <br /> SPECIAL MEETING PLANNING UPDATE/COVID-19 COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz updated the Board on whether vacation homes in <br />Kittitas County will be accepted in phase 2.
