BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2020________ <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN STATE <br />OF WASHINGTON OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE AND KITTITAS COUNTY <br /> WHEREAS, RCW 39.34, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, provides the capability for public <br />agencies to cooperate by providing services and facilities for mutual advantage; and <br /> WHEREAS, the State of Washington Office of the Secretary of State (OSOS) and Kittitas County <br />Auditor’s Office have the ability and desire to enter into such a cooperative agreement, a copy of <br />which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference as Exhibit A; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the purpose of this agreement to provide funding to ”improve the <br />administration of elections for Federal office, including to enhance election technology and make <br />elections security improvements” to the systems, equipment and processes used in Federal elections; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, That the agreement between <br />the State of Washington Office of State and Kittitas County to provide federal funds to “improve the <br />administration of elections for Federal office, including to enhance election technolog y and make <br />election security improvements” to the systems, equipment and processes used in Federal elections <br />is adopted and the signature of the Kittitas County Auditor on this agreement is acknowledged. <br /> ADOPTED this _______ day of ___________________________ 2020. <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />ATTEST: ___________________________ <br />CLERK OF THE BOARD Brett Wachsmith, Chair <br />___________________ ___________________________ <br />Julie A.
