STATE OF WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO. 2020-
A Resolution Authorizing Amendment of 2019-2020 Professional Services Agreement by
and between Kittitas County Superior Court, Juvenile Court Services and Kristi Hunziker for
Special Sex Offender Disposition Alternative (SSODA) services.
WHEREAS, Kittitas County Juvenile Court Services contracts with Kristi Hunziker for
SSODA treatment services; and
WHEREAS, A Professional Services Agreement has been established by and between
the parties; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Hunziker has requested an amendment of the contract to address the
changed circumstances created by the current COVID-19 health crisis; and
WHEREAS, an amendment of services is necessary during the COVID-19 health crisis
to reduce the risk to both Ms. Hunziker and the juveniles to whom she is
providing treatment; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Hunziker had been willing to adjust the rate charged to reflect the less
direct contact with the youth; and
WHEREAS, Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners signed Resolution No. 2020-
070 on April 7, 2020 authorizing amendment of 2019-2020 Professional
Services Agreement by and between Kittitas County Superior Court,
Juvenile Court Services and Kristi Hunziker for SSODA services; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Hunziker has requested that the previous adjustment to her rate for
services for provision of counseling services by use of remote means be
reversed based upon having learned additional information that shows that
the reduction was neither prudent nor necessary;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, that the
attached amendment of the Professional Services Agreement between Kittitas County and
Kristi Hunziker be executed for SSODA treatment services.
