COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONERS AUDITORIUM SPECIAL MEETING - AGENDA SESSION
THURSDAY 1:00 P.M. MAY 7, 2020
Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith. Via Phone: Vice-
Chairman Laura Osiadacz and Commissioner Cory Wright.
Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Via Webex: Jerry Pettit,
Auditor; Mark Cook, Public Works Director/Interim Engineer; Mandy
Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; and 3 members of the public.
CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Wachsmith called the meeting to order.
Each item was reviewed individually, and the Board asked questions of
Staff prior to making a motion.

AGREEMENT OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE AUDITOR
Approve an Intergovernmental Grant Agreement between the State of
Washington, Office of the Secretary of State, and Kittitas County, in
the amount of $154,405.29, for the 2020 HAVA Cares Act Grant, for the
purpose of preventing, preparing for, and responding to Coronovirus,
domestically or internationally, for the 2020 Federal election cycle,
through December 31, 2020.
RESOLUTION 2020-096 UPPER COUNTY MAINTENANCE FACILITY PUBLIC WORKS
Approve Resolution No. 2020-096, Awarding a Contract to for the Upper
Kittitas County Road Maintenance Facility and to Authorize the Public
Works Director to Sign the Contract Documents, with Blew’s Construction,
Inc.
RESOLUTION 2020-097 DISTRESSED COUNTY SALES & USE TAX PUBLIC WORKS
Approve Resolution No. 2020-097, Approving the 2020 Distressed County
Sales and Use Tax Infrastructure Improvement Program Agreement with the
City of Cle Elum, in the amount of $450,000.00 for the First Street
Stormwater and Billings Avenue to Oakes Avenue Improvement project.
RESOLUTION 2020-098 WEED CONTROL FLOOD CONTROL ZONE PUBLIC WORKS
Approve Resolution No. 2020-098, Authorizing the Director of Public
Works Signature on the Interlocal Agreement with the Kittitas County
Weed Control Board to Manage Weeds on Flood Control Zone District Lands.
LETTER GOVERNOR INSLEE COMMISSIONERS
Staff was directed to place this item onto the Office Administration
Meeting Agenda on May 11, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. LETTER COUNTY COALITION – GOVERNOR INSLEE COMMISSIONERS
Staff was directed to place this item onto the Office Administration
Meeting Agenda on May 11, 2020 at 9:00 a.m.
Chairman Wachsmith moved to approve the items listed, except for the two
letters to Governor Inslee, as presented. Commissioner Wright seconded.
Motion carried 3-0.
