KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONER’S CONFERENCE ROOM
SPECIAL MEETING
TUESDAY 9:00 A.M. DECEMBER 15, 2015
Board members present: Chairman Gary Berndt; Vice-Chairman Obie
O’Brien-By Phone and Commissioner Paul Jewell.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board; Doc Hansen,
Planning Official/Interim Planning Director; Angela San Filippo,
Planner & Neil Caulkins, Deputy Prosecutor.
SPECIAL MEETING EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS
At 9:04 a.m. Chairman Berndt opened a Special Meeting and announced
the Board would recess into an Executive Session for 30 minutes per
RCW 42.30.140 (4)(a) Collective bargaining sessions with employee
organizations, including contract negotiations, grievance meetings,
and discussions relating to the interpretation or application of a
labor agreement; or (b) that portion of a meeting during which the
governing body is planning or adopting the strategy or position to
be taken by the governing body during the course of any collective
bargaining, professional negotiations, or grievance or mediation
proceedings, or reviewing the proposals made in the negotiations or
proceedings while in progress. No action was anticipated.
At 9:34 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No
action was taken.
At 9:34 a.m. Chairman Berndt announced the Board would recess back
into Executive Session for 10 minutes per RCW 42.30.140 (4)(a)

At 9:44 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. Staff
was directed to continue negotiations.
