COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:50 A.M. MAY 15, 2017
Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice-Chairman Laura
Osiadacz & Commissioner Obie O’Brien.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Jill Scheffer,
Event Center Director.
REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD EVENT CENTER
Jill Scheffer, Event Center Director presented the Board with Punch
Lists for the Rodeo and the Fairgrounds for the Board to review.
The Board stated that the lists for the most part looked good.
However they reminded Ms. Scheffer that she has to work within her
budget, as she can only pursue projects that were budgeted for. They
indicated that she should keep them informed and come to the Board
with emergency projects etc.
Ms. Scheffer presented the Board with her proposed “newsletter” that
she previously discussed. The Board expressed their support and
encouraged her to also send a hard copy to the neighbors up at Reed
Park. She indicated she will add them to her list which currently
will send a hard copy to the neighbors surrounding the Event Center;
Translated to Spanish for delivery to Shady Acres and e-mailed to
the Chamber and others that sign up for notice about the Event
Center.
