COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
SPECIAL MEETING
TUESDAY 9:00 A.M. MAY 15, 2018
Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Obie
O’Brien & Commissioner Paul Jewell.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Patti Johnson,
Solid Waste/Maintenance Director/Project Manager; Neil Caulkins,
Deputy Prosecutor.
SPECIAL MEETING EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS
At 9:02 a.m. Chairman Osiadacz opened a Special Meeting and
announced the Board would recess into Executive Session for 30
minutes to consider the selection of a site or the acquisition of
real estate by lease or purchase when public knowledge regarding
such consideration would cause a likelihood of increased price. No
action was anticipated.
At 9:32 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No
action taken.
At 9:32 a.m. Chairman Osiadacz announced the Board would recess back
into Executive Session for 5 minutes to consider the selection of a
site or the acquisition of real estate by lease or purchase when
public knowledge regarding such consideration would cause a
likelihood of increased price. No action was anticipated.
At 9:37 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session.
Commissioner Jewell moved to authorize Deputy Prosecutor Neil
Caulkins to begin the negation process and acknowledge that he and
Ms. Johnson would be the leads for the County on the project.
Commissioner O’Brien seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:37 a.m.
