Meeting called to order at 0803 a.m.
Present: Commissioner Brett Wachsmith, Commissioner Cory Wright, Undersheriff Myers and Sue
Higginbotham with Auditor's Office.
Thorp Community Days Event — Undersheriff Myers mentioned that we don't believe there is a need to
request event permit for this Event. Recommends no permit needed.
Action — Board approved.
L&J Council recommendation to fund Special LE Training from grant funds — Undersheriff Myers
mentioned he would like to see this training fully funded. This would be for CWU and representatives from
other areas to attend. This increase in funds is very beneficial for CWU.
Action — Request for BOCC to fully fund for training. Board approved.
3/1 Oth Sales Tax Initiative renewal discussion — Per Undersheriff Myers the expenses will end 2021. Request
discussion to run this next year and remove the sunset clause. It's passed the last few times. Sue mentioned
the countywide deadline would be mid-May. In November will be the State wide measures. Sue also
indicated next February 2020 and two schools will be on the ballot.
Undersheriff Myers mentioned to have a discussion with 3/10th committee to discuss and to also discuss with
Jerry Pettit. Per Sue, this November will be the Initiatives and junior tax districts. Undersheriff mentioned
he will get committee together in the next few weeks.
