02/11/2019 MINUTES 1 <br /> COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />901 EAST 7TH AVE – ARMORY A <br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />MONDAY 9:50 A.M. FEBRUARY 11, 2019 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright & Commissioner Laura <br />Osiadacz. Excused: Vice-Chairman Brett Wachsmith. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Tim Egan, <br />Maintenance Director; Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager (by <br />phone). <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD MAINTENANCE <br /> <br />Tim Egan, Facilities Maintenance Director explained that during the <br />budget the Board approved his request for a Backhoe with a dollar <br />figure attached to the purchase/lease of approximately $171,000.00. <br />He stated after going through the State process the cost came down <br />to approximately $90,000.00. He questioned if the Board would prefer <br />him to purchase the new backhoe out-right or lease it. <br /> <br />There was discussion on whether they should wait for the sales tax <br />revenues to come through or not. Judy Pless, Budget and Finance <br />Director stated that they are already ahead of projections and since <br />the backhoe came in under the initial budgeted amount the Board <br />should be fine to proceed. <br /> <br />PURCHASE BACKHOE – NEW MAINTENANCE <br /> <br />The Board authorized Mr. Egan to proceed with the purchase of a new <br />backhoe from the State bid. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 10:00 a.m. <br /> <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />DEPUTY CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mandy Buchholz Cory Wright, Chairman <br />
