JANUARY 24, 2019 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith (by phone) & Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Mark Cook, Public <br />Works Director/Interim County Engineer and Lisa Young, HR <br />Director/Interim Event Center Director. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING PUBLIC WORKS PAF’S HUMAN RESOURCES <br /> <br />At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Wright opened a Special Meeting at the request of <br />HR to meet with Public Works Director/Interim County Engineer Mark Cook <br />& Lisa Young, HR Director/Interim Event Center Director to discuss PAF’s <br />recently received. <br /> <br />The Board discussed and considered the PAF’s presented. <br /> <br />Director Cook explained his formula and how he has done this for the <br />past 4 years. <br /> <br />Lisa Young, HR Director/Interim Event Center Director stated that she <br />brought the topic forward due to the fact that the PAF’s are amounts <br />granted above average and not typical practice of the Board to use <br />vacancy savings to fund increases. <br /> <br />Chairman Wright questioned if there was policy against the proposal. Ms. <br />Young stated that there was not. There was discussion on out of class <br />pay being brought forward as an option to non-union employees and the <br />Board stated that they would be having a meeting next week to consider <br />the proposal. <br /> <br />The Board signed PAF’s for the following DPW Staff: Candie Leader, Liz <br />Remeto, Tim Kauzlarich, Karen Hodges, Chris Hooper, Taylor Gustafson, <br />Ryan Berge, Willie Adams, Chuck Reed, Justin Turnbull and Jim Van De <br />Venter. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION WAGE ADJUSTMENT/BUDGET AMENDMENT HUMAN RESOURCES <br /> <br />Chairman Wright noted that the topic would not be discussed during this
