COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONER’S CONFERENCE ROOM
SPECIAL MEETING
MONDAY 3:00 P.M. JANUARY 7, 2019
Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett
Wachsmith & Commissioner Laura Osiadacz.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Stephanie Hartung,
DPA III.
SPECIAL MEETING EXEC SESSION TRAINING COMMISSIONERS
At 3:00 p.m. Chairman Wright opened a Special Meeting to receive a Board
training on Executive Sessions and the specific and limited exceptions
to the Open Public Meetings Act.
Stephanie Hartung, Deputy Prosecutor III presented the Board with a
checklist from MRSC on OPMA-Executive Sessions as well as a listing of
the RCW’s. She reviewed a power point presentation and answered
questions the Board had relating to prior scenarios.
The Board thanked Ms. Hartung for the training and indicated that they
were looking forward to the memo she offered to draft addressing the
questions they had.
OTHER BUSINESS –
Chairman Wright questioned the Board on their thoughts about bringing on
a short-term business consultant to oversee the Airport and to assist
with the transition of bringing on the Airport Manager.
The meeting was adjourned at 3:40 p.m.
