2018-12-05 MINUTES 1 <br /> <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONER’S CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />WEDNESDAY 9:00 A.M. DECEMBER 5, 2018 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Obie <br />O’Brien; and Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board; Lisa Young, Human <br />Resource Director/Interim Event Center Director; Patti Johnson, <br />Solid Waste Director/Project Manager. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING BID REVIEW/DIRECTION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Osiadacz opened a Special Meeting to <br />review/discuss the Bloom Pavilion Project Bids received and give <br />direction to Staff. <br /> <br />Patti Johnson, Solid Waste Director/Project Manager presented the <br />bids received and stated that one of the two received later <br />submitted a request to withdraw their bid. She stated that the <br />Architect reviewed the Bid and found it to be responsive to the <br />bidding requirements. She stated that the Architect ALSC recommended <br />that the County award the Bid to Belsaas & Smith Construction, Inc. <br /> <br />The Board directed Ms. Johnson to bring forward a Resolution to <br />award the Bid to Belsaas & Smith Construction, noting that they <br />would proceed with the Base Bid of $215,915.00; as well as <br />alternates D and E in the amount of $125,000.00 (Grand Total <br />$340,915.00). Ms. Johnson noted that the Grant was for $250,000.00 <br />so the difference of $90,915.00 would be on the County to pay.
