COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:40 A.M. NOVEMBER 19, 2018
Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Obie
O’Brien & Commissioner Cory Wright.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Lisa Young, HR
Director/Interim KVEC Director.
REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD HUMAN RESOURCES
Lisa Young, HR Director/Interim KVEC Director provided the Board a
brief update on benefits leading up to this afternoons budget
meeting where the Board will make a decision. She stated that they
will have Alliant presenting and there are positive updates. She
stated that the County can stay with Assuris and it’s an 8% credit
towards our current rates, or they can consider going to United
Healthcare and that rate is coming in at 12-15% less than what the
County’s current rates are.
DISCUSSION LARGE COKE STAGE KVEC
Ms. Young stated that she can prepare the paper work to transfer the
Large Coke stage to the Upper County. They are currently planning to
obtain it for an event and then it could just remain up there. The
Board stated they were in support of that and Commissioner O’Brien
asked if someone would work on allowing or relaying the message of
the request received from former KVEC Director Mickey Webb as he
asked to use it for an upcoming event as well. Lisa stated that she
would let Mr. Webb know about the transfer and let the City of Cle
Elum know about former Director Webb’s request.
