COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
SPECIAL MEETING
THURSDAY 8:00 A.M. NOVEMBER 8, 2018
Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner
Cory Wright. Absent: Vice-Chairman Obie O’Brien.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Sara Folk,
Construction Manager; Mark Cook, DPW Director/Interim County
Engineer; Jacobs Engineering: Jason Smith.
SPECIAL MEETING JACOBS ENGINEERING/WIEHL RD PUBLIC WORKS
At 8:06 a.m. Chairman Laura Osiadacz opened a Special Meeting to
meet with Public Works Staff and consider a Change Order from
Jacobs Engineering for the Manastash Bridge project and to
provide direction on a Draft Ordinance for Wiehl Road R.I.D.
Director Cook reviewed both proposed documents and Commissioner
Wright agreed to submit the Draft Ordinance for Wiehl Road to
the Prosecutor’s Office for review.
CHANGE ORDER JACOBS ENGINEERING PUBLIC WORKS
Commissioner Wright moved to approve and authorize the Chair’s
signature on a Change Order for Contract Number RC1578 and
Change Order 01 (Manastash Road Bridge #76132 Replacement), in
the amount of $339,454.50. Chairman Osiadacz seconded. Motion
carried 2-0.
OTHER BUSINESS –
Director Cook gave a brief update on the Airport and the No. 6
Road Construction project.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:34 a.m.
