COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 10:00 A.M. OCTOBER 29, 2018
Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Obie
O’Brien & Commissioner Cory Wright.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Kevin
O’Shaughnessy, Maintenance Tech. II; Jim Goeben, IT Director.
REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD I.T.
Jim Goeben, IT Director stated that he has been informed that
Maintenance will no longer be doing network cable wiring and he
wanted to find out if he missed a meeting where that direction came
out of or if he should adjust his budget to have it done from an
outside business. He stated that they were told that after taking on
the additional maintenance at the Event Center they don’t have the
time.
The Board briefly discussed expectations with Mr. Goeben and it was
determined a follow up meeting would be needed.
The Board requested that Mr. Goeben provide a list of phones that
need wiring to make the VOIP implementation process work so that the
County knows how much more work and man hours are needed as well as
where the connections are and the hardware cost. Once that is
determined Mr. Goeben was directed to bring it back at an I.T. Study
Session and they will determine what route they are going to go.
