KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONER’S CONFERENCE ROOM
SPECIAL MEETING
MONDAY 3:30 P.M. OCTOBER 8, 2018
Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Obie
O’Brien; Commissioner Paul Jewell.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Tristen Lamb,
EH Manager/Interim PH Admin.; Erin Moore, Water Resource Program
Coordinator; Lisa Young, HR Director/Interim Event Center Director;
Dr. Mark Larson, Public Health Official.
SPECIAL MEETING WATER RESOURCES MANAGER COMMISSIONERS
At 3:30 p.m. Chairman Osiadacz opened a Special Meeting to discuss
the Water Resources Manager Position Implementation.
Tristen Lamb, EH Manager/Interim PH Admin stated that they met with
Public Works to discuss the Water Resources Manager and Director
Cook has been excellent at including them in the conversation.
However where they haven’t received any direction is from the Board
who Public Health reports to, and they have some confusion about
that. She expressed other concerns pertaining to the water program,
impacts to Staff & the department. She stated that they will do as
directed by the Board, but they would just like to get direction
directly from them.
There was a great deal of discussion on the additional $800 dollars
that would need to be added to the Package A. ($ 3,260.00-current)
and Package B. ($ 4175.00-current), as well as the timeline for
implementation and the duties of the Water Resources Manager and
funding. There was discussion on outreach that would need to be done
and the timeline available and there was discussion on formulating a
message to explain the increase.
Public Health was directed to complete review of the Job Description
by end of the week and to implement the $800.00 fee increase by
1/1/2019.
