2018-10-08 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONER’S CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />MONDAY 3:30 P.M. OCTOBER 8, 2018 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Obie <br />O’Brien; Commissioner Paul Jewell. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Tristen Lamb, <br />EH Manager/Interim PH Admin.; Erin Moore, Water Resource Program <br />Coordinator; Lisa Young, HR Director/Interim Event Center Director; <br />Dr. Mark Larson, Public Health Official. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING WATER RESOURCES MANAGER COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 3:30 p.m. Chairman Osiadacz opened a Special Meeting to discuss <br />the Water Resources Manager Position Implementation. <br /> <br />Tristen Lamb, EH Manager/Interim PH Admin stated that they met with <br />Public Works to discuss the Water Resources Manager and Director <br />Cook has been excellent at including them in the conversation. <br />However where they haven’t received any direction is from the Board <br />who Public Health reports to, and they have some confusion about <br />that. She expressed other concerns pertaining to the water program, <br />impacts to Staff & the department. She stated that they will do as <br />directed by the Board, but they would just like to get direction <br />directly from them. <br /> <br />There was a great deal of discussion on the additional $800 dollars <br />that would need to be added to the Package A. ($ 3,260.00-current) <br />and Package B. ($ 4175.00-current), as well as the timeline for <br />implementation and the duties of the Water Resources Manager and <br />funding. There was discussion on outreach that would need to be done <br />and the timeline available and there was discussion on formulating a <br />message to explain the increase. <br /> <br />Public Health was directed to complete review of the Job Description <br />by end of the week and to implement the $800.00 fee increase by <br />1/1/2019. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 4:48 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />DEPUTY CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br />
