COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:00 A.M. OCTOBER 01, 2018
Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Obie
O’Brien and Commissioner Cory Wright.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Julie
Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Lisa Young, HR Director/Interim KVEC
Director; Dan Carlson, CDS Director.
SPECIAL MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS
At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Osiadacz opened the Office Administration
meeting.
CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendar.
PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners approved and signed County
Employee Personnel Action forms and vouchers.
CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed the weekly Correspondence
Log, a listing of all incoming mail and correspondence for the week
ending September 28, 2018.
LICENSE WA STATE LIQUOR CONTROL BOARD COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner O’Brien moved to approve and authorize the Chairman to
sign a Special Occasion License from the Washington State Liquor &
Cannabis Board for the National Young Farmers Coalition to host
their 8th annual Fall Harvest event in Thorp at Spoonful Farms – 1250
Dudley Road, on October 7, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m.
Commissioner Wright seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
REPORTING TIM EGAN – DEPT. HEAD COMMISSIONERS
Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II asked the Board on
behalf of Tim Egan, Facilities Maintenance Director to clarify which
Commissioner he is to report to since the Fair is over.

It was determined that since Mr. Egan is now overseeing all
Facilities/Maintenance he would just meet with Commissioner Wright
as that is the Commissioner assigned to Facilities Maintenance for
the year.
APPOINTMENT BRIAN MAGLIETTI – LTAC COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner O’Brien moved to appoint Brian Maglietti to the
County’s Lodging Tax Advisory Committee effective immediately.
Commissioner Wright seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
DISCUSSION FACEBOOK WEEKLY POSTS COMMISSIONERS
The Board decided they would post a notice that the Burn Ban will be
lifted effective 10/1/18 and also share the Cascade Prevention
Coalition Survey.
UPDATE BOCC/DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS
Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to
meet with on a weekly basis. This was determined at a Special
Meeting with the Board of County Commissioners held on June 18,
2009. Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their
respective departments and exchanged details of those meetings. On
January 3, 2011 the Board determined it would be beneficial to
alternate Commissioners that will oversee the different Department
Head’s on an annual basis. They determined at the end of 2013 they
would review the various committees they participate in and provide
beneficial updates to the Board as needed during this time as well.
