2018-08-28 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONER’S CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />TUESDAY 10:00 A.M AUGUST 28, 2018 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Obie <br />O’Brien; Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> <br />Others: Dan Carlson, CDS Director; Clay Myers, Undersheriff; Debbie <br />Myers, Staff; and one member of the public. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING KVFR BOCC <br /> <br />At 10:07 p.m. Chairman Osiadacz opened a Special meeting to discuss <br />and consider the services provided/offered by Kittitas Valley Fire <br />and Rescue (KVFR). <br /> <br />There was discussion on the Interlocal Agreement with KVFR which <br />expires on August 31, 2018; the Firewise program; the currently <br />vacant Fire Marshall position; the proposal to split the Fire <br />Marshal duties between two departments, with Community Development <br />Services handling the fire code inspections and the Sheriff’s Office <br />handling the fire investigations. <br /> <br />Undersheriff Myers said he would work on an Interlocal Agreement <br />regarding the investigative portion. CDS Director Carlson said he <br />would work on an Interlocal Agreement regarding the code inspection <br />portion. <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned at 10:50 a.m. <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />CLERK KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Debbie Myers Laura Osiadacz, Chairman <br />
