COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONER’S CONFERENCE ROOM
SPECIAL MEETING
WEDNESDAY 9:00 A.M. AUGUST 22, 2018
Board members present: Chairman, Laura Osiadacz (by-phone); Vice-
Chairman Obie O’Brien and Commissioner Cory Wright.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Lisa Young,
HR Director/Interim Event Center Director; Dan Carlson, CDS
Director.
SPECIAL MEETING CDS STAFFING DISCUSSION CDS
At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Osiadacz opened a Special Meeting to discuss &
potentially make a decision regarding CDS Staffing.
Dan Carlson, CDS Director explained that Stephanie Mifflin, Senior
Permit Tech has accepted the position of Building Inspector
effective 9/4/18. He gave background on her position of Senior
Permit Tech and explained that it was 3 positions combined. He
stated that now she is leaving the position, he would like to pursue
a re-org and move their Office Assistant into a Permit Tech;
reclassify their Office Assistant position to Admin Assistant I and
post to fill the Admin Assistant I; (previously Office Assistant).
He stated that there will be a budget savings of approximately
$550.00.
The Board approved the request as presented.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:10 a.m.
