2018-08-02 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONER’S CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />THURSDAY 1:30 P.M. AUGUST 2, 2018 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman, Laura Osiadacz and Commissioner <br />Cory Wright. Excused: Vice-Chairman Obie O’Brien. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board and Tim Egan, Facilities <br />Maintenance Director. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING GOLD BUCKLE CLUB WATER METER MAINTENANCE <br /> <br />At 1:30 p.m. Chairman Osiadacz opened a Special Meeting to consider <br />a new water meter at the Gold Buckle Club and replace the water <br />line. <br /> <br />Tim Egan, Maintenance Director reviewed bids he received for the <br />water line at the Gold Buckle Club. He said he solicited bids from <br />Salas, Excel Plumbing and McKinstry. Excel Plumbing was non- <br />responsive and although Salas’ bid was the lowest bidder, they did <br />not provide enough details even after they had been asked for them <br />via email and phone. Mr. Egan said McKinstry’s scope of work was <br />detailed and they also know their quality of work. After speaking <br />with Judy Pless, Finance Manager, they will need to do a budget <br />amendment if they choose to move forward with the project. <br /> <br />BIDS McKINSTRY MAINTENANCE <br /> <br />Chairman Osiadacz moved to award a bid from McKinstry for the <br />Kittitas County Gold Buckle Club Water Line, in an amount not to <br />exceed $30,000.00 and to direct Staff to prepare a Contract for <br />their consideration at a later date.
