UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS
Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to
meet with on a weekly basis. This was determined at a Special
Meeting with the Board of County Commissioners held on June 18,
7/16/2018 MINUTES 2
2009. Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their
respective departments and exchanged details of those meetings. On
January 3, 2011 the Board determined it would be beneficial to
alternate Commissioners that will oversee the different Department
Head’s on an annual basis. They determined at the end of 2013 they
would review the various committees they participate in and provide
beneficial updates to the Board as needed during this time as well.
REVIEW COMMISSIONER DIST. #1 COMMISSIONERS
Staff provided copies of the current Committees that the
Commissioners serve on. The Board reviewed them and made changes for
the new Commissioner Cory Wright. They also discussed his Department
Heads he would oversee for the remainder of the year: Tim Egan,
Maintenance, Patti Johnson, Solid Waste and Jim Goeben, I.T.
Director. The Board also added to Commissioner Wright’s list of
Committee’s including the WSAC Columbia River Caucus.

Chairman Osiadacz requested the Board’s support in drafting a memo
for the Board to consider sending out to Department Heads reminding
them that they need to upload all supporting documents with their
Agendas so that the Public can view everything that is before the
Board.
Commissioner Wright and Commissioner O’Brien both expressed their
support for the memo being drafted and sent out. Commissioner
O’Brien stated another option is that they can each remind their
Department Heads that it needs to be done during their weekly update
meetings.
