SPECIAL MEETING
WEDNESDAY 9:00 A.M. JUNE 13, 2018
Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz and Commissioner
Paul Jewell. Excused - Vice-Chairman Obie O’Brien.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board & Brett
Wachsmith, County Treasurer.
SPECIAL MEETING BUDGET RETREAT PLANNING COMMISSIONERS
Chairman Osiadacz opened a Special Meeting to discuss and plan
with County Staff the 2019 Annual Budget Retreat Agenda and
letter for the Management Team with Budget Instructions.
The Board discussed presenting options and determined they would
see if the YBIP work group would come make a presentation and
determined they would go back to zero based budgeting for 2019.
They discussed the budget & County government priorities for
2019.
The Board also determined they would be bringing back the BBQ to
the Budget Retreat and directed Staff to get a head count for
burgers and to get the sign up lists out for the Management Team
to bring items to compliment the BBQ. Staff was directed to
reach out to the local Mayors and ask them to attend the meeting
and speak about their local projects etc. Chairman Osiadacz was
directed to prepare the letter for the Board to consider and
send out.
ACKNOWLEDGE FUNCTIONAL ZERO KC FAMILIES COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Jewell moved to approve Chairman Osiadacz being
listed as a contact on the Functional Zero Kittitas County for
Families with Children Memorandum (HopeSource). Chairman
Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 2-0.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 a.m.
