SPECIAL MEETING
THURSDAY 3:00 PM DECEMBER 22, 2016
Board members present: Commissioner Chairman Obie O’Brien,
Commissioner Paul Jewell and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz
Others: Jerry Pettit, County Auditor; Brett Wachsmith, County
Treasurer and Judy Pless, Budget and Finance Manager.
SPECIAL MEETING COMMISSIONERS
RESOLUTION 2016-177
Judy Pless, Budget and Finance Manager presented Resolution
2016-177 A Resolution for levying taxes for the County Road for
municipal purposes of Kittitas County, Washington for the year
2017 according to the assessed valuation as determined in the
year 2016. Commissioner Jewell moved to approve the Resolution,
Commissioner Osiadacz seconded the motion, motion passed with no
discussion.
BUDGET REPORTS
Pless presented the sales tax and budget reports for the period
ended November 30, 2016. Discussion occurred about the
Admissions Tax, and a meeting was needed to be set up in
February 2017. Discussion occurred regarding the 2016 GO Bond.
2015 ANNUAL REPORT MIS-STATEMENTS – uncorrected items
Pless presented the 2015 Annual Report for Mis-statement and
uncorrected items during the 2015 Audit and the Disclosure
Statement to be attached to the Comprehensive Annual Financial
Report.
2018 BUDGET PROCESS
Pless asked the Board if they were ready to have the 2018
Preliminary Budget process be completed online. The Board
stated yes and to work with Information Technology to ensure the
Board has laptops that will process the data fast enough.
INVESTMENT UPDATE
Brett Wachsmith, County Treasurer reported the year to day
amount of investment interest. Wachsmith also reported the
amount of delinquent parcel notification mailed is down from
6,000 to 2,757.
