COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:50 A.M. JUNE 4, 2018
Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Obie
O’Brien & Commissioner Paul Jewell.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Patti Johnson,
Solid Waste/Maintenance Director/Project Manager and Judy Pless,
Budget & Finance Director & Jerry Pettit, Auditor.
REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD AUDITOR
Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager presented the Board with
aOpenGov Software proposal and explained that the 2-3 modules she
would like to purchase are $98,982.00, with a breakdown of how it
would be paid for.
Commissioner Jewell questioned if IT could develop an In-house
application that would work. Commissioner O’Brien felt IT wouldn’t
be a good fit to develop the application and expressed some
frustrations about IT Staff not being able to support applications
when the Application Development Manager is away for one reason or
another. Commissioner Osiadacz felt that with the Auditor’s Office
being the primary user of the software she would support it as they
are committed to its success and feels there will be less issues
with the application when there are less people with access to the
software.
Jerry Pettit, Auditor stated it will be a huge asset with Ms.
Pless’s retirement in the next 1.5 – 2 years.
The Board directed Ms. Pless to bring forward a Contract for them to
consider.
