FINANCE STUDY SESSION MINUTES
BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 108 - ELLENSBURG
Regular Meeting
THURSDAY 1:30 PM March 15, 2018
Board members present: Commissioner Chairman, Laura Osiadacz, and Commissioner Paul
Jewell. Commissioner Obie O’Brien was absent.
Others: Brett Wachsmith, County Treasurer, Patti Johnson, Solid Waste Director and Judy
Pless, Budget and Finance Manager
2017 FINANCE REPORTS
Judy Pless presented to the Board various finance reports for the year ended 2017. Pless
informed the Board of the additional sales tax revenue the county received and Commissioner
Jewell suggested these funds should be moved into a Capital Account, discussion occurred. Pless
will present a resolution to the Board at a later meeting.
Brett Wachsmith presented the Investment report and an investment portfolio summary as of
March 15, 2018
OTHER BUSINESS
The Board discussed the budget for Shady Brook, which is part of the Event Center budget. The
Board requested a new department with in the General fund be created to track the
expenditures/revenues of Shady Brook so Patti Johnson can monitor that budget directly. The
Board stated that Patti will be the main contact for Shady Brook.
