4/23/2018 MINUTES 1 <br /> COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM <br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />MONDAY 10:00 A.M. APRIL 23, 2018 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Obie <br />O’Brien & Commissioner Paul Jewell. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Mark Cook, <br />Public Works Director <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />Mark Cook, Public Works Director presented the Board with two <br />Resolutions for the Board to consider. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2018-066 COUNTY ENGINEER PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />Commissioner O’Brien moved to approve Resolution No. 2018-066, <br />designating an interim acting County Engineer, not to exceed six <br />months (5/2018 through 11/2018), as presented. Commissioner Jewell <br />seconded. Director Cook stated that they would prepare a letter to <br />send to CRAB and signed by the Chair notifying them of the change at <br />the next Agenda Session. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2018-067 HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />Commissioner O’Brien moved to approve Resolution No. 2018-067, <br />awarding the 2018 Hazard Mitigation plan/community system rating <br />plan update to Dewberry, as presented. Commissioner Jewell <br />seconded. Commissioner O’Brien stated that this is the most <br />qualified company to do the update and the County has to do the <br />update so he felt this is the best way to proceed.
