2018-03-30 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONERS AUDITORIUM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />FRIDAY 2:30 P.M. MARCH 30, 2018 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman <br />Obie O’Brien and Commissioner Paul Jewell. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Lindsey Ozbolt, <br />Planning Official; Dan Carlson, CDS Director; and approximately <br />16 members of the public. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING SOLAR REGULATIONS CDS <br /> <br />At 2:30 p.m. Chairman Osiadacz opened a Special Meeting to <br />conduct a work session with members of the Kittitas County Solar <br />Facilities Citizen Advisory Committee. <br /> <br />Dan Carlson, CDS Director said the Solar Facilities Citizen <br />Advisory Committee finished up their work on March 1, 2018 and <br />have created recommendations for Staff to compile. He indicated <br />the Board had requested a meeting with the Committee to review <br />their information. The recommendations were in a draft form and <br />had not been reviewed by legal yet. <br /> <br />The Board reviewed each section of the draft recommendations and <br />asked questions of Staff and Committee members which included <br />the purpose, definitions, a facilities overlay map, siting <br />overlay, permit submittal requirements, procedures, visual <br />impacts/aesthetics, setbacks/buffers/standards, environment, <br />security/safety, decommissioning/abandonment; and exceptions. <br /> <br />The Board thanked the Committee members for their hard work in <br />creating the draft document. <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned at 4:29 p.m. <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Julie Kjorsvik Laura Osiadacz, Chairman
